The Chargers say they have a problem: Qualcomm Stadium is antiquated. Sorry. The Chargers’ problem is much broader and deeper than that. The Chargers have a problem with San Diego. Period. It’s not big enough or rich enough to satisfy the financial ambitions of the ownership…

The Chargers are gearing up for a new season that could – but probably won’t – be their last at Qualcomm Stadium.

After it ends, the team will be eligible to pack up its footballs, uniforms and cleats and move to a city that is willing to provide them with a new stadium. All they have to do is give the city written notice, then fork over a termination fee of $56.2 million.

But the Chargers won’t, said Mark Fabiani, the team’s general counsel…

Yes its finally official. Either the New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers are the teams listed that might move to L.A. Developer Ed Roski Jr.’s business partner says he has “no doubt” a National Football League team will play in Los Angeles in 2009, most likely at the Rose Bowl.

“We are going to have a team here next September,” Semcken said Tuesday afternoon.

Sorry I have not posted anything in a month or so, I have been very busy. There has been no new news in the past month. We are in a waiting period until something can be worked out with the Sunrise Powerlink and the Power plant. Dean Spanos appeared on 105.3 with Josh Lewin and did not reveal anything new. He only stated that he hoped the power plant issue would be resolved by January 1.

On September 7, the Chargers will take on the Panthers and we will be there handing out flyers to anyone who will take one. I know this is not much, but it is all we can do with absolutely no funding.

Make sure you check the website daily, as well as the news section; you never know when something big is going to happen!

I just recieved this email from Tom, looks like we won’t be appearing at training camp as we had hoped.

It looks like BACSS will not be appearing at training camp like orgininally planned.  This is do to some details that we could not work out with the Charger representatives in time to appear at a Charger training camp practice. We are upset that we could not make this happen for the fans and citizens of San Diego County. We will continue to do what we can to raise awareness and will be present at Charger games throughout the season so be on the look out… Thank you to everyone who takes time out to look at our website.  We are frustrated that we cannot seem to get any traction and really get this thing moving, but will continue to be resilient until our voice is heard.  Without financial backing the ability to mount a serious charge is almost as impossible as getting a stadium built in San Diego.  However, just as the Chargers continue to try and get something done in San Diego, we will continue to try and put together a countywide movement.
