I spoke with Mr. McCann on Friday and we discussed numerous areas of concern.  However, Mr. McCann asked that I not release the details of what we talked about or quote any of his words.  Mr. McCann and I will work on publishing something that is acceptable to both of us.  One thing I can say is we should be expecting some information on Gaylord fairly soon.  He also asked that we hold off on a rally until we can decide what would be the most effective date.  Therefore, the planned July 5th rally will be postponed until further notice.

Poll Results– This poll was taken at the opening of a new Subway in San Marcos last week.  I polled people after they got Charger memorabilia signed by Charger players or when they were leaving and getting into their cars.  While some people have expressed concern that the poll results are not focused exclusively on Chula Vista residents I did ask everyone I polled if they lived in San Diego County.  In addition, 10 individuals (out of 100) noted that they were from the South Bay.  Those 10 individuals told ME that they were from the South Bay so who knows how many more of the polled were from the South Bay!

One thing I noticed was that people who said they would cheer for the Chargers in LA were hesitant in their response.  Most of them also noted that they would not cheer for the Chargers as hard if they moved to LA.

Another observation was that 20 people had no idea that the Chargers could move after this year!!  This is the people who we are really trying to reach out to!!!  IF these people can become educated on the issue they can help pressure the elected officials and keep the Chargers in San DIego.

So last week was not as productive as I had hoped. I did do some polling work at the opening of the new subway to gauge Chargers fans knowledge on the issue. Poll results will be up when our website launches next week. However, I was not able to get on 1090AM last weekend but Mr. Drucker has been in contact with John Tutino (director of 1090) to get us on there soon.

Also, today I have a conference call with John McCann of the Chula Vista City Council. We will be discussing the power plant situation, the Gaylord project, and his feelings on a potential new stadium in Chula Vista. Look for this transcript to also be on our web page when we launch next week.
